Jenny Lee

Managing Partner
Jenny Lee is a Managing Partner at GGV Capital and helped set up GGV’s first office in China in 2005 and re-opened GGV’s Singapore office in 2019. She also leads GGV’s USD fund raising activities.

At GGV, Jenny has been instrumental in investing and helping 9 of her early-stage portfolio companies go public on NYSE, Nasdaq, ChiNext, and HKSE, and numerous portfolio companies exit via M&A transactions. She is currently a board director on public companies LAIX (NYSE: LAIX), and NIU (Nasdaq: NIU) and sits on the board of innovative private technology startups in the EduTech, FinTech, Transportation, Robotics and AI sectors. Selected past investments include hiSoft (Nasdaq: PACT), 21Vianet (Nasdaq: VNET), SinoSun (SHE: 300333), YY (Nasdaq: YY), Xiaomi (HKSE: 1810), 51credit (HKSE: 2051), WPS (SSE STAR), UCweb, and active companies include KEEP, Tangdou, Zuoyebang, Huohua Siwei, Tongdun, Clobotics, Avidbots, Sensoro, Geek+, Thunes, etc.

Jenny’s previous operation and finance work experience with ST Aerospace, Morgan Stanley and JAFCO Asia enhanced her role as a preferred board mentor and investor to many entrepreneurs in China. Jenny graduated from Cornell University with a Masters and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and an M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. Jenny also sits on the Board of SATS Ltd (SGX: S58), a leading provider of gateway and food solutions and is a member of the Board of Directors for Kauffman Fellows, a leadership organization for innovation and capital formation.

Since 2012, Jenny has been recognized by the Forbes Global 100 VC Midas, ranking as the #1 woman and #10 overall in 2015. In 2016, she was named to the Vanity Fair New Establishment list, Fast Company Most Creative People in Business list and is consistently recognized by The New York Times and CB Insights among the top 100 venture capital investors worldwide, ranking #8 among top venture capitalist in Asia. Jenny is also well respected in the Singapore business community and is a recipient of Singapore’s Business China’s Young Achiever Award in 2016, the Business Times’s Outstanding Overseas Executive Award in 2019 and a member of the 2019 Forbes Asia Power Businesswomen 25 list.
